Wortman Farms has been a family owned business since 1946.  Leonard Wortman is responsible for buying the once homesteaded property and creating the farm on top of it.  This is also the location that his son Warren Wortman was raised, which is who eventually took over the farm.  Leonard, now 86, has been retired for 20 years and has since left the management and ownership of the farm to his son Warren.  In the late 1980's and on through present day, many improvements have been made to keep up with modern day issues.  Through the improvements the business has been able to provide for the Warren Wortman family in its entirety.  All four sons of Warren are now farming under him, and even buy and sell livestock of their own.
